Sup?! So let’s get straight into it. My name’s Valicia Jackson and this is an entire site for the sake of one band. The modern day equivalent of a shrine I’m pretty sure. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It’s a little creepy I know but I’ve run a Paradise Fears ‘fan’ account on twitter for 3 years now and have an account for them on basically every social media site there is. (links will be below)

I intend to eventually make this into a general music blog covering topics about any and every artist I feel is worth talking about but while I was thinking of making the blog I realized that I have no idea where to start. So I put it off and didn’t make one. Then I was like well damn, I already run an account for PF so why not start with something I was basically already doing? And then build from there?

I don’t intend to go into journalism because god knows, I’m a terrible writer. But writing to me is therapeutic so I do it anyway. “Abouts” are hard…. Let me tell you a little bit about myself because that’s what you’re supposed to do right?

Honestly if you need to know anything about me it’s that I’m disgustingly obsessed with Lord Of The Rings and nearly just as obsessed with Harry Potter and the color purple. Uhh, I guess here’s some more random facts about me.

I have two middle names.
I have 1 sister and 4 brothers.
I’m bi-racial. My mom is white and my dad is black. Someone describing Halsey used the phrase “white biracial” once and I feel that.
My birthday’s June 8th
I’ve played flute for 10 years.
I did colorguard in marching band.
I’m a terrible singer and I hate myself for it.
The band Alesana is what got me through my freshman year of high school
I’m scared of heights and have a phobia of moths and frogs/toads.
I’ve met an insane amount of dope people through PF and I’m so thankful for that.
I get the question ‘who are your favorite turtles’ a lot but I never answer it because it just seems clique-y to me but I’m assuming only 2 people are actually gonna read this whole ‘about me’ so I’ll go ahead and say it here: Neera, Cara, Trea, Faith, and Amanda.
Saying ‘Stay Sunny’ and ‘no worries’ is like, my thing.

my favorite season is fall
I hate the word ‘fan’ It leaves such a space between artist and supporter.
Salt & vinegar chips are life.
As far as religion goes I vibe with Buddhism.
